BUGSPLAT!
Budgets didn’t allow for real drone to fly to the desert and mock a missile strike, so we did it in the comfort of our studio. Filmed aerial plates were carefully acquired on a decommissioned military base in Kent. Stock footage of a busy, dusty, desert market where sourced for the background plate, upon which we cunningly composited our custom elements into place. A grade and some motion graphics produced a believable “drones eye view” that opens the show.
