THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD

August 14, 2018 THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD

A typical period drama always requires a degree of clean-up to keep the shots looking authentic. This was true for The Mystery of Edwin Drood, but the subject matter also called for some more creative shots.

Lexhag tackled both hallucinations and self-extinguishing candles to bring a supernatural twist to this classic tale, which involved shooting custom flame elements at the studio and exploiting stock photography in order to create a mirage of Rochester Cathedral in the desert.
