Working with Marshmallow Laser Feast, Lexhag built a 134M point forest scene for MLF’s latest virtual reality experience.

The works are being hosted at the Saatchi Gallery in the Salon gallery. The opening night drew an audience of over 200.

At the heart of the experience was a giant Sequoia tree nestled within a small forest. Lexhag captured the tree and much of the surrounding area with a UAV and photogrammetry. Library assets, procedural generation of forest life and old-fashioned modeling were all used to create the complete scene.

The experience is a group activity; up to five participants can roam in the space at once, interacting with the scene around them and each other.
